Support Services - Addiction

RISE Recovery Services are a partnership of YMCA Together in Liverpool. 

Rise Rehabilitation and Abstinence services is an 18-week residential rehab in South Liverpool, offering en-suite, catered accommodation, and on site gym.

They use a psychologically informed way underpinned by cognitive analytic therapy (CAT).

CAT offers a relational approach to recovery, helping you to think how your drug or alcohol use began and how you can work to understand yourself well to sustain long term recovery. 

 

If you would like to make a referral to RISE Recovery, drop into the Brink of Change (15-21 Parr Street) every Friday between 10am - 11am to make a referral in person.

Transforming Choice is located on Aigburth Drive, Sefton Park, Liverpool. 

Transforming Choice provide a 12-week alcohol detox and rehabilitation programme. The first 5-10 days of the programme are dedicated to an alcohol withdrawal detox. This is followed by an 11-week rehabilitation programme consisting of groups, classes and one-to-one personal development. 

 

Their detox and rehabilitation programme is rooted in the Person Centred Approach developed by Carl Rogers. They provide a safe, non-judgemental and empathic environment in which you can lead your own treatment plan and understand your own ability to self-heal.

SHARP Day Treatment Program in partnership with The Forward Trust, Liverpool

This is a day treatment programme that adheres to their Self Help Addiction Recovery Programme (SHARP) model. It which involves 48 days’ attendance at their treatment centre in Liverpool’s L1 district over 11 weeks.

 

Prior to admission, participants may choose either a 12 Step or cognitive approach to their treatment. This is a post-detoxification, abstinence-based programme, meaning participants must be abstinent from alcohol and drugs prior to commencing the programme.

 

Pre-abstinence support is available for those who need it and an aftercare programme is available for those who complete treatment successfully.
